Safeguarding Vulnerable People

We regularly hear about child abuse in the news, but in fact many adults, particularly the elderly are very vulnerable to abuse and can also be subjected to intolerable treatment.

Everyone should have the right to live free from fear and abuse.  Abuse comes in many forms, whether it is violence, threats, neglect, or even being 'ripped off' by unreasonable charges when you're not as sharp as you used to be.  if you feel that you, or someone you know, is being abused you should do something about it.  This section of our website provides links to information and guidance about abuse and what you can do about it.
