Smaller Adaptations

Many people find that they need extra
assistance to undertake everyday tasks. A rail to hold onto as you
climb the front doorstep or negotiate the garden path can be immensely
useful to some older or disabled people.
We can supply and fit parts to
raise the height of chairs and beds for those who have difficulty rising
from low furniture. Sometimes a doorstep may be replaced with a
ramp for a wheelchair. In fact, rails, raisers and similar equipment can be
installed in all kinds of places.

Many people who require these adaptations
are referred to us by hospitals or by the social services and depending
on your circumstances, the installations are often free of charge.
If you think that you could benefit from
any of this assistance, call the Gloucestershire Social Services Adult
Helpdesk on 01452 426868. If you would rather an installation was
done privately, call us on 01453 753471.
