Gardening Assistance Scheme

The Gardening Assistance Scheme offers the chance of subsidised help in the garden for some older and disabled people.  Click on any of the links below to open a new 'window' to view information about the scheme.

  Gardening Scheme Details - The limited funding for subsidised gardening in 2011 has now been used up.  We don't yet know what the future holds, but information will be made available as soon as we have it.  Look below for links to remaining possibilities.

Obtain A Garden Waste Green Bag - list of sources who supply Stroud District Council garden waste bags that can be collected with normal refuse collection.

Looking For A Gardener? - a list of gardeners who will to offer their services privately to those who are willing and able to pay for assistance over and above the subsidised scheme.

Garden Sharing - some people do not use or are unable to use all of their gardens themselves.  If you are one of these people, you may wish to consider entering an agreement to allow someone else to garden it in their own way rather than paying a gardener to look after it or letting it deteriorate.
