Our Services |
Home Page Care & Repair (Stroud) Ltd offer a range of schemes to assist people with housing related problems in the area covered by Stroud District Council (Gloucestershire, England). We are a 'not for profit' Home Improvement Agency whose main purpose is provide adaptations and other work for people who are elderly or disabled to enable them to remain living safely in their own homes. Many clients are referred to us by public agencies, who also provide the funding for any work needed, although our services are also available for those who do not receive public funding. If your garden is getting hard to keep up with, perhaps small home repairs have become too difficult, or possibly you need something like a handrail to help you up an awkward doorstep, we may be able to help. If your house is developing faults or perhaps needs some alterations to remain habitable, we can help to obtain Council Grants for eligible people and manage the planning and work using reliable contractors. To find more information, make a selection from the bar at the top of this page, or click one of the links on the left to view details of the schemes we run. We do sometimes have opportunities for casual or self employed people to do some work for us. Occasionally there is a vacancy for a permanent member of staff. Look on the 'Jobs' page for details. Recently (01/04/2009) our name was mentioned in Parliament when our local MP, Mr David Drew, initiated a debate about the funding of Home Improvement Agencies like us.
